Wall Street Rising is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to restoring the vibrancy and vitality that existed in Lower Manhattan prior to the devastating events of September 11, 2001.

Wall Street Rising is a coalition of businesses, industries and residents of the downtown community, including some of the country's most prominent law firms, investment banks, financial service companies, restaurants, retailers, cultural institutions and civic and community leaders.

Wall Street Rising's mission is to showcase and highlight Lower Manhattan’s attributes in ways that appeal to both business and residential audiences and to create and participate in events that demonstrate vibrant activity in the community. The organization seeks to enhance the reputation of Lower Manhattan as a good place to do business, live and take advantage of cultural and historic attractions, restaurants and a variety of lifestyle venues.

The organization will also act as an advocate for the Lower Manhattan business and residential communities, with the goals of seeing the redevelopment of the area move forward as expeditiously as possible and ensuring that the voices of the organization's constituents are heard during the process.
