The
Second Annual Leadership Awards Dinner for Steadfast Commitment
to
Lower
Manhattan
On May 6, 2004, Wall Street Rising bestowed
its second Leadership Award upon Deutsche Bank's Chairman of the
Group
Executive
Committee, Dr. Josef Ackermann, Seth Waugh, CEO of Deutsche Bank
Americas, New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, New
York City Council Speaker Gifford Miller and New York City Council
Member Alan J. Gerson.
Leadership
Awards were presented to these leaders for their devotion and
commitment to the revitalization of Lower Manhattan. Proceeds
from the event benefit Wall Street Rising programs such as the
Corridor of Light, The Downtown Information Center
and

Regent Hotel Farewell Event to
Benefit
Wall Street Rising
On
January 15, 2003 The Regent Wall Street Hotel &
Spa hosted a Farewell Event to benefit Wall Street
Rising. Over 100 Lower Manhattan community leaders, business
owners, residents and elected officials toasted the Regent
Wall Street's contribution to Lower Manhattan. |

Scavenger Hunt for Families
On June 21, 2003, Wall Street Rising and Watson Adventures partnered
to present a Lower Manhattan scavenger hunt for families.
Seven teams competed for prizes from area museums and stores while
having fun a learning Lower Manhattan trivia. According
to Watson Adventures, this hunt has the third highest ranking
in company history for satisfied participants.
First
Annual Leadership Awards Gala
Governor George E. Pataki and Kenneth I. Chenault, Chairman and
CEO of American Express were honored on March 20, 2003, for their
outstanding commitment to Lower Manhattan at Wall Street Rising's
First Annual Leadership Awards gala. Approximately 650 of New
York City's top business, financial and community leaders attended
the black tie affair at The Regent Wall Street Hotel.
The fundraising
event, hosted by CNBC's Maria Bartiromo, raised more than $700,000
to support Wall Street Rising initiatives such as the Downtown
Information Center and the Corridor of Light.
In a special
performance, Petula Clark revived her timeless classic "Downtown,"
and debuted a powerful and inspirational anthem she co-wrote in
honor of September 11th, "Starting All Over Again." Please

NASDAQ
Event
On Friday, February 28, 2003, the NASDAQ Stock Market welcomed
Wall Street Rising and its founder Julie Menin to “open”
the market. Wall Street Rising was recognized for its commitment
to restoring vibrancy and vitality to Lower Manhattan. In
