Chaperone Child Seats Are Recalled Due to a Possible Laceration Hazard

As a Bellevue injury lawyer I find it especially important to stay on top of all recall news, particularly when it comes to products designed for the safety of our children.

Certain models of Britax Chaperone Child Seats are being recalled. The affected models include: E9L69N9 Moonstone, E9L69P2 Red Mill, E9L69P3 Savannah and E9L69P5 Cowmooflage. This recall was made necessary due to the possibility of it posing a hazard to users because of a defective chest-securing clip.

These models are now being recalled due to concerns that the clip may break off, which could cause lacerations as well as severe choking risks to children who are strapped to these seats. To remedy this, Britax is currently sending information and repair kits to owners of the above models. Parents are urged to check their safety seats for the recalled products immediately.
